ZIM Shipping launches the "ZIM Gulf Toucan" service operated by CICE Veracruz

Veracruz, Ver.- After the announcement of ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. about the launch of its new service “ZIM Gulf Toucan” (ZGT) serving Latin American markets, on Wednesday February 14th the vessel 'Bright' docked at the Port of Veracruz. This vessel is the first of the 8 ships with an average capacity of 2,800 TEUs that will be part of this service.

This service will connect the east coast of South America with the Gulf of Mexico and the United States; Grupo CICE will be responsible for handling operations at the Port of Veracruz on its weekly stop, where mostly containerized export cargo will be loaded.

CICE Transportation launches new brand image on its new Freightliner Cascadia 2024 units

Veracruz. Ver.- With a renewed change of image to the distinctive orange color that has identified us since our beginnings, six new 2024 model Freightliner Cascadia DD13 units are being integrated into the CICE Transportes fleet., an incentive to consolidate ourselves as a strategic ally in the supply chains of our clients and freight transport users across the national territory.

With this change of image, we aim to reinforce our security strategies as an action plan in response to the results of studies conducted by leading insurance companies in Mexico, which indicate that white-colored units account for 73% of thefts.

These models offer an enhanced aerodynamic design to provide greater fuel efficiency. They come equipped with active safety systems to mitigate accidents, automated transmission for optimal handling, and feature an integrated powertrain and devices to increase safety. Additionally, they have dual GPS and onboard webcams to assist operators and contribute to driver safety.

With the incorporation of these new units, added to the upcoming incorporation of 12 additional units in 2024, the reopening of our Ful Base Operator School (OBF) for the development of personnel to operate full and simple units, and the recent opening of our offices in the port of Manzanillo, Colima in June 2023; we seek to improve the service of our clients and transportation users in the country, maintaining better control of the operation and with more immediate responses for all freight transportation operations.
